PED Media Training

PED organized a media training for 21 youth participants, focusing on short news writing and producing photos and videos using smartphones. The training took place from 18th to 19th October 2025 in Phnom Penh.

The objectives of the training were to:

  • Provide opportunities for urban youth to understand the fundamentals of short news writing and smartphone-based photo and video production.

  • Encourage youth to engage in promoting human rights and environmental issues.

  • Raise awareness among urban youth about the principles and values of independent media outlets.

After completing the training, participants were able to write short news articles to share information, promote, and contribute to upholding the right to information and freedom of expression. In addition, they gained practical skills in taking photos and videos, as well as basic video editing using their smartphones.
